It may not seem like it but Lorient is a colorful city! Completely destroyed during World War II, it was reborn from its ashes. Special thanks to the architect and polytechnician Georges Tourry, on whom we owe the great reconstruction project, since 1943. Rue Jeanne-d’Arc, a building in Échasses, the famous “Technicolor” building on rue du Port … Going away from a tour, you will not notice this color palette. And it goes even further: in Quéven, the city has launched a campaign to paint the facades of rue Jean-Jaurès. To encourage owners, The City will provide financial support for the renovation.
