The union chaired by Jean-Luc Mélenchon achieves a breakthrough in the legislative elections, Sunday June 12, in Île-de-France. Its candidates are in the lead in 60 constituencies in the region. Four of the members of this union of Left parties even managed to get elected in the first round.
The New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) is leading the race in the Île-de-France region, in the first round of the 2022 legislative elections. The alliance which notably brings together France Insoumise, the Socialist Party, the Communist Party but also Europe Ecologie-Les Verts achieves good scores by ranking first in nearly 60 of the 97 constituencies in the Ile-de-France region. These are sectors mainly located in the east of the region. The Union of Left Parties even sees some of its members elected in the first round. This is the case in Seine-Saint-Denis or in Paris. Results hailed by the leader of France Insoumise, Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
La Nupes has already won three seats in the National Assembly in Paris. Between the 11th and 20th arrondissements of the capital, Sophia Chikirou won 53.7% of the votes cast. Same thing for Sarah Legrain and Danièle Obono. The first is elected in the 16th constituency (56.5%), while the second does the same between Goutte-d’Or and the Villette district with 57.1% of the vote.

In Seine-Saint-Denis, Alexis Corbière was running for a new term. In the constituency of Montreuil and Bagnolet, 62.9% of voters voted for the member of France Insoumise. A basic trend, since this union of the Left is in the lead throughout the department.

In the region, a number of lists of the New Ecological and Social Political Union are making inroads in the first round.
And Alexis Corbière returns for 5 years, it is not the same for Stéphane Peu. His colleague from the 2nd constituency must play the second round. He did not obtain an absolute majority, in relation to the number of registered voters. Stéphane Peu will face Anaïs Brood, presidential majority candidate (Modem) who won only 9.1% of the vote.
Other notable scores, those of Eric Coquerel and Raquel Garrido in the 1st and 5th constituencies. The former regional councilor of Île-de-France is full with 53.8%, when his colleague and former municipal councilor of Bagnolet collects 37.9% of the vote. Eric Coquerel will face Jeanne Dromard, LREM-Ensemble candidate who won 18.9% of the vote.
His colleague will confront Jean-Christophe Lagarde. She will be in a duel against her rival from the UDI, Jean-Christophe Lagarde. The centre-right party president ranks second and is 3.5 points behind Raquel Garrido.
On the Seine-et-Marne side, Olivier Faure comes first in the 11th district of Seine-et-Marne. In this sector, which straddles the municipalities of Mée-sur-Seine and Savigny-le-Temple, among others, the first secretary of the Socialist Party receives 46.9% of the vote.

In Val-de-Marne, Rachel Kéké is racing in the lead. The candidate comes first with 37.22% of the vote, in the 7th constituency. In Chevilly-Larue, Fresnes or l’Haÿ-les-Roses, she is far ahead of the candidate Ensemble-Renaissance who is second. The former Minister of Sports Roxana Maracineanu is well behind the housekeeper at the origin of the fight at the Ibis hotel in the Parisian district of Batignolles.

Also note the score of Mathilde Panot in the 10th constituency, very far ahead of Philippe Hardouin, candidate In Commun-Renaissance. She gathered 54.8% of the votes against 20.8% for her opponent. A score well above 50%, but not enough in terms of votes cast to be automatically elected.
In the next zone, the senator of Val-de-Marne Sophie Taillé-Polian collects nearly 48.8% in the first round. She is in a favorable tie situation, ahead of Erwann Calvez (LREM-Ensemble) with his 25.4% of the vote. Finally there remains Isabelle Santiago (Nupes) in the 9th constituency with 48.3%. She will play a second round on Sunday June 19, against Jonathan Rosenblum (LREM-Ensemble) who came second with 20.3% of the vote.
Favorable ballot also for his colleague Cédric Villani, in the south of Île-de-France. The defector from the Republic in March presented himself under the colors of Nupes, in the Palaiseau sector. In the 11th constituency of Essonne, 27.21% of voters voted for the former « walker » in the 1st round.
« This candidacy, like all of the Nupes candidacies, is placed under the sign of ecological, democratic and social urgency. I am much more in my place in this party, this movement, as well among the ecologists as in the larger whole formed by the Nupes. In this department north of Paris, all sectors are won in the first round to the union of left parties. This is the case, for example, of the 8th constituency. The voters of Garges-les-Gonesse, Sarcelles or even Gonesse place Carlos Bilongo (LFI-Nupes) and the mayor of Sarcelles François Pupponi (Modem-Ensemble) in the second round. 37.1% of the votes for the first against 24.4% for the second.

The Ensemble-Renaissance coalition comes first in a majority of cantons in Hauts-de-Seine. However, Nupes succeeded in taking the lead in 3 constituencies. This is the case on the side of Colombes, Gennevilliers and Villeneuve-la-Garenne (1st district). Elsa Faucillon for the PCF-Nupes is in first place with 54.3%, followed by Marie-Ange Badin for the Republic in March.

In Bagneux, Malakoff and Montrouge (11th district), the inhabitants placed Aurélien Saintoul ahead of the presidential majority candidate Laurianne Rossi. The first gathers 44.98% of the votes against 36.11% for the representative LREM-Ensemble. Same thing in the 2nd constituency: Francesca Pasquini is first with 27.41% of the vote ahead of Baï-Audrey Achidi (presidential majority). Her competitor qualified in the second round with 26.79% of the vote.
In the Yvelines, the presidential majority also comes first. In contrast, two constituencies placed the New Ecological and Social Political Union. These are the 11th and 8th constituencies. Between Elancourt, Trappes and La Verrière (11th district), William Martinet attracts 32.2% of voters. Opposite, Aurélie Piacenza and the presidential majority have 25.4% of the vote.

Finally on the side of Mantes-la-Jolie and Mantes-la-Ville, for the 8th constituency, Benjamin Lucas (Génération.s-Nupes, 33.4% of the ballots cast) will play the second round against Edwige Hervieux (LREM-Ensemble , 24.4% of the vote).
