Riga “Dinamo” lost three goals in the third period of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) game on Thursday and suffered a loss against one of the league’s weakest clubs “Sochi”. “Sochi” conceded 1: 3 with “Sochi” at home.

The only goal in the last minute of the game in the ranks of “Dinamo” was scored by Jevgenijs Gračovs.

Including two technical losses that KHL awarded on Thursday in the postponed games against Vitjaz of the Moscow region and Metallurg of Magnitogorsk, Dinamo has already suffered 13 consecutive losses.

The first period ended without a goal being scored, but more dangerous episodes succumbed to the homeowners. At the end of the third, the Rigans made a mistake in their defense zone, but Stanislav Galimov coped with a shot from a close distance. The guests were not able to use the numerical majority that Dinamo won at the end of the period, but the hosts did not score either.

The clubs continued to play with five men, “Dinamo” dominating the rest of the time, but the result remained unchanged 0: 0.

The last third of the game was started more actively by the guests, who also brought the result. In the fourth minute, Jere Karjelainen was nominated by the Soči team with a strong throw, but four minutes later Igors Rudenkovs doubled the lead. Six minutes before the end of regular time, Matthew Mayonnaise was rejected, but Sochi took 20 seconds to use the numerical majority.

At the beginning of the last minute, Mārtiņš Dzierkals gained control of the puck in the middle zone, quickly delivering it to Gračova. The attacker deceived the defender and broke up to the front of the goal, where he managed to “appoint” the puck to the ninth with the awkward side of the stick blade.

There will be a match at home with Ekaterinburg’s “Avtomobilist” on Saturday, but on November 16, the series will end with a duel against Beijing’s “Coon Red Star”.
