Kyiv region switches to travel on COVID certificates

The restrictions will be in effect until they are canceled by its decision by the regional commission on maintenance and emergency situations.

Due to the deterioration of the situation with the spread of coronavirus in the Kiev region, the Commission on Fuel and Energy Sector and Emergency Situations decided to strengthen restrictions on the use of public transport in the region. About this on Wednesday, November 10, reported in the press service of the Kiev Regional State Administration.

Restrictions will take effect from November 13th. From this date, only those passengers who will have one of the documents with them will be able to freely use buses, minibuses and trains: COVID certificate, negative PCR result or rapid coronavirus test received no later than 72 hours before the day of travel, or a certificate of recovery, the validity of which will be confirmed with the help of the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services, in particular “Diya”.

“We understand how important it is for residents of the capital region to have high-quality transport links, therefore, public transport within the region and to Kiev will continue to run according to the usual schedule, but with certain restrictions. But it was no longer possible to delay this moment any longer, “said the head of the Kiev region, Vasily Volodin, following the results of an extraordinary meeting of the regional commission on health and safety.
