At the pier of the city of Golaya Pristan in the Kherson region, a barge is being loaded with 350 tons of watermelons, which will be sent to Kiev. This was reported on Friday, August 13, on the page of the Nibulon company, which owns the ship, in Facebook.
As indicated, on Saturday the loaded vessel will set off for the “fifth anniversary striped voyage”, and on August 20 will arrive at the transshipment point in Pereyaslav.
“On the eve of Independence Day, sweet berries will go straight to the trading rooms of the capital’s supermarkets,” the message says.
The company also told how the product is loaded: “Watermelons are not loaded in bulk, which could cause 10-13% of mechanical damage, but are carefully manually folded into European standard cardboard containers placed on pallets in a truck. load pallets into the holds of a non-self-propelled vessel. “
