In the Oleshkovsky forest of the Kherson region, local residents found a cluster of cacti that bloomed with yellow flowers. The find surprised people, because this plant is not intended to live in our climate.
This was reported by journalists of “TSN”… According to scientists, the exotic flower is called prickly pear and is popular with summer residents and gardeners. (scroll to the end to watch the video).
It is still unknown how the tropical plant ended up in the forest, but the fact that it managed to survive the rather severe winter frosts indicates that in the future the prickly pear will take root in our area. However, scientists are not particularly happy about this fact, because a demanding cactus is able to displace the flora that is characteristic of the forests of the Kherson region.
