There were 305 new cases of coronavirus in the Czech Republic on Sunday. For the fourth time since the beginning of the epidemic, the daily increase was higher than 300, the last time it happened on April 3. The proportion of detected cases in the total number of tests was 16.83 percent, which is the highest since the beginning of the epidemic. The reason for the significant increase in recent days is primarily targeted testing in current outbreaks, especially in the Karviná region and in the mining company OKD. There were also fewer tests than on weekdays, and 1812 laboratories performed them. To date, 11,604 people have been infected with coronavirus in the Czech Republic, 7710 have been cured, and 348 victims are currently infected. 3546 are currently infected.

The most affected region in the Czech Republic since the beginning of the epidemic is now the Moravian-Silesian Region, which has overtaken Prague in recent days. So far, the local laboratories have detected 2,650 infections, and there have been 2505 in the capital so far. There are almost 221 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the Moravian-Silesian Region, and 189 in Prague. From 1 July, the Ministry of Health will publish a daily map of risk regions in the Czech Republic, which will assess the increase in positives with covid-19, hospitalizations and other trends for the last day and week. When traveling abroad, Czechs have to reckon with the fact that in the category of the most risky countries, only Sweden will remain from the EU countries, but from Wednesday the obligation for its citizens to prove the reason for traveling to the Czech Republic will disappear. From Tuesday, Portugal will move to the category of countries with a medium risk of coronavirus infection, so Czechs will no longer be required to submit a covid-19 test when returning from the country.

For its purposes, the Czechia will narrow down the list of safe countries for travel, which should be agreed by the European Union today. It will select about a dozen non-EU countries, taking into account whether these countries are open to Czech citizens. About 15 states should appear on the EU list. Czech diplomacy considers free travel to the countries of the Western Balkans to be a priority.
