“Democratic Bulgaria” would join a governing coalition, which includes the BSP. This was clear from a statement by the union’s co-chairman Atanas Atanasov for BNT.
“Coalition with the BSP is a complex topic. In the interest of the state, we are ready to participate in a majority together with them, but it is important with which party the mandate, with what program and what composition of the government,” Atanasov said.
He added that there have been many discussions in the union’s structures whether to be nominated as a presidential candidate or to support someone already nominated. Atanasov said there was no doubt that Democratic Bulgaria would stand behind Lozan Panov.
“This man is our supporter. We have always acknowledged the useful moves of Rumen Radev, but 27 people from his initiative committee are agents of the State Security. This is extremely important for me and my party,” he added.
