In the images: the eclipse visible from Chartres

A partial eclipse occurred on Tuesday 25 October at noon. It was perceptible in Chartres, through the cloudy veils that let a glimpse of the moon gnawing on part of our solar star. The phenomenon started around 11:10 am.

“I didn’t know there was one,” Aurélie Aissaoui testified.

Julien Bariatti explains “being aware but not having seen it”. Only one optician we met provided two pairs of protective goggles. “I learned from these customers that there was an eclipse today,” says Élise Pelaez, director of the Maison Pont opticiens brand. In three other brands, no customers came to equip themselves.

Where, at what time and how to see the partial solar eclipse that will take place this Tuesday in France?

The next partial eclipses will take place in France on March 29, 2025 and August 12, 2026.
