From September 9 to 12, the exhibition “Riga Food 2020” will be filled with the tempting smell of grilled food, as the Grill Park will be open in Ķīpsala for all four days. There will be barbecue competitions, barbecue theater performances, master classes of chef Ingmar Ladig, tastings and, of course, a barbecue exposition. “Riga Food 2020” Grill Park will be hosted by the charming actress Laura Atelsone, attractive event manager Gunārs Bītz, experienced hunter and grilling expert Jānis Zandbergs and “Grills Brotherhood” manager Juris Titovs. Dj Garjānis will also join the actors in the grilling theater performances, because, as you know, grilling is not just a story about meat! The opening of the grill park will start on September 9 at 10.15.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to take part in quizzes and test their knowledge of grilling and barbecuing, compete in grilling duels and taste grilled products. September 11 In the Grilling Park there will be a competition day for 16 teams of grilling enthusiasts, who will compete, but only one will win the title of the best grilling team. The winners will be determined by a strict but honest jury. The grill park will also bring together food lovers, experts and pepper growers, as on September 9, 10 and 12 there will be sharp and intense activities – chilli eating competition (18+). The brave who eats the most hot pepper will win. The competition will be monitored by a doctor.

Exhibition seekers will be able to get to know and buy a variety of grilling equipment, from all types of grills to grill bars. In addition, grill dealers will be able to provide answers – what type of grill to choose for you, what features of the grill are worth paying attention to and what accessories may be needed.

The most important food exhibition in the Baltics, Riga Food 2020, will provide industry professionals with a safe environment for new business, but will offer every gourmet to get to know as yet unknown flavors and come up with ideas for their menu. Riga Food 2020 will present its products and services to more than 350 companies from 25 countries. For the first time, the exhibition will feature Japan’s national joint stand. Visitors will be able to go on a gastronomic trip, visiting the joint stands of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Canada, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and the Czech Republic.
