The first owner of Corolla was an employee of the Kharkov factory Radio Relay, which today is the largest manufacturer of switching equipment in the market of Ukraine and the CIS countries. During the time of perestroika, many allied enterprises worked on barter – they exchanged goods for goods. That’s how the company got a batch of used Japanese sedans, which they subsequently sold to plant employees.
Despite the impressive age, the car is equipped with air conditioning (despite the fact that we are talking about the basic configuration) – an unimaginable luxury for the USSR, where the most popular were the Muscovites, ZAZs and Zhiguli, on which even today it is not always installed.
