- Revenues of Primoco UAV SE in the 1st quarter of 2022 reached CZK 21.7 million, which represents a 184% increase compared to the same period in 2021.
- EBITDA in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to CZK 12.9 million, which represents a year-on-year increase of 272%.
- Furthermore, in the first quarter of 2022, Primoco UAV SE signed a contract for the supply of an unmanned aircraft for a European client with an option for another 20 aircraft.
“In the first quarter of 2022, we managed to significantly increase sales. At the same time, we have acquired a new client who has the opportunity to exercise the option to supply another twenty drones, “ said CEO Ladislav Semetkovský. “In addition, in the second quarter of 2022, we expect to sign a contract in South America, where we won a competition to supply 3 drones this year. This is the first contract in the region. In addition, we expect to sign a contract with two European clients for the supply of a total of 4 aircraft and a contract in Africa for the supply of 4 aircraft in 2022. In 2022, we plan to sell a total of 40 drones. “
In addition, Primoco UAV SE recorded another significant success among the world’s leading unmanned aircraft manufacturers in February this year. It received the EASA LUC (Light Unmanned Certificate) certification for the Primoco UAV One 150 from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic in the “Specific” category, which allows it to perform flight activities with internal operating approval at the company level. This is the first time in the world that a LUC certificate has been issued for a European fixed-wing drone. This is the fifth overall certificate in Europe, with the previous ones covering rotating carrier machines. The EASA LUC certificate is the highest qualification that can be obtained according to current European regulations.
The company also announced that as of January 31, 2022, it had ceased operations in the Russian Federation and sold 100% of the shares in the subsidiary AO Primoco BPLA. The only reason for this decision was the sanction regime against the Russian Federation and the impossibility of obtaining the export license needed to operate its own drones.
