In the European Parliament elections, Latvian citizens will be able to vote in 38 polling stations located abroad

The Central Election Commission received the proposals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Latvian diplomatic missions in foreign countries, where election stations should be established.

The Central Election Commission has decided to create a total of 38 polling stations for EP elections in Latvian diplomatic missions abroad.

These will be located in United Arab Emirates, United States, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Greece, Georgia, Estonia, India, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Canada, Kazakhstan, Korea, China, Russia, Great Britain, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Germany and Sweden.

Taking into account the 12 received voter proposals for establishing a polling station abroad, several countries will have polling stations in more than one city. This will be the case in the USA, Great Britain, Canada, Norway and Germany.

The Central Election Commission has also appointed the chairmen, secretaries and members of these polling station commissions.
