The boy disappeared on the evening of May 29. They found a child near the swamp, where he was sitting hugging his dog. He was taken home and handed over to his family.
In the Cherkasy region, law enforcement officers, together with local residents, tracked down a 6-year-old boy who disappeared in the forest. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The child disappeared in the evening. Local police officers and soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine were involved in the search for the boy. In the morning they found little Sasha. He sat frightened by the swamp, hugging his dog,” the message says.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that on May 29, at 11:20 pm, the Cherkassk regional police department received a message that a 6-year-old boy had disappeared in the forest near the village of Svidivok. His disappearance was reported by his parents, who from 20:00 tried to find their son on their own, but the search was in vain.
Police officers from the Cherkasy District Department, the Special Police Battalion, Juvenile Prevention, Domestic Violence Counteraction Sector, Dog Training Service, as well as members of the National Guard of Ukraine were alerted.
According to the press service, the inspectors of the company for the maintenance of water bodies of the Patrol Police Directorate, who surveyed the forest thickets with the help of thermal imagers, also helped with the search for the boy. The caring residents also joined the search for the boy.
The police found out that little Sasha was playing in the yard. His beloved dog ran out into the street and the boy ran after him. The dog took him into the woods, and there both disappeared.
