The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2023 honors individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding, innovative and leadership performance in the field of information security.

The Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2023 program, which includes more than 800 items in more than 300 award categories, is highly competitive. All winners embody the highest level of innovation and excellence in addressing emerging threats in the field of cybersecurity.

Holger Schulze, CEO of the CYBERSECURITY INSIDERS community and founder of the Information Security Society on Linkedin, which includes 600 members and organizes the eighth annual award for excellence in the field of cybersecurity, said:

He added that the Council works within a clear strategy for cybersecurity aimed at providing a safe and flexible cyber environment that helps organizations, institutions and individuals achieve their ambitions and enables them to develop in order to achieve a quality digital life, create a safe digital Emirati society and promote a positive identity with meaningful digital interaction.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti indicated that winning the Excellence Award in the field of cybersecurity for the year 2023 in the category of global leadership is an honor for the Cyber ​​Security Council of the UAE government and an appreciation for its efforts in achieving electronic stability locally and regionally, explaining that this award constitutes a new impetus for more work, achievement and creativity to strengthen the position of the state The UAE is a global leader in cybersecurity and improving its national capabilities in this field.

It is worth noting that over the past ten years, the UAE Government Cyber ​​Security Council has contributed to the efforts aimed at spreading the culture of cyber security by holding lectures and workshops, launching pioneering cyber initiatives and projects, in order to achieve the vision of “50 projects” in the UAE and the “100 programmers every day” project. The Cyber ​​Security Council has developed an innovative plan to protect cyber security in the UAE through emerging technologies such as the cloud, big data and artificial intelligence.

The UAE advanced 42 places in the global cybersecurity index launched by the International Telecommunication Union of the United Nations, as it ranked fifth in 2020 after it was in the forty-seventh position in 2017, which reflects the advancement of the cybersecurity agenda in the UAE by means of ensuring transformation Safe digital, reduce cyber crime.
