Ground searches were conducted by 15 specialists from mountain search and rescue departments, volunteers from Kiev and four pieces of equipment.
Rescuers during Sunday, April 25, continued to search for a tourist from Kiev, who got lost in the Carpathians on February 13 and disappeared. About this the night before reported management of the State Emergency Service of the Transcarpathian region.
It is indicated that on Sunday the search teams surveyed the slopes and catchments of the Gimba and Zhid-Magura mountains.
It is noted that ground searches were carried out by 15 specialists from mountain search and rescue departments of the villages of Nizhniye Vorota, Mukachevo and Uzhgorod and four units of equipment, including the Bogun all-terrain vehicle. Eight volunteers from Kiev also joined the search. An unmanned aerial vehicle was used for aerial monitoring of the territory.
“Despite the fact that the snow cover in the mountainous area has come down, rescuers have once again examined the place where the tourist supposedly got lost … Unfortunately, the missing citizen has not been found,” the State Emergency Service stated.
Recall two tourists got lost still on February 13, one of them was found on the same day in the region of Mount Zhid-Magura. They searched for the man for three weeks. The search stopped the 5th of March.
