From the storm to the calm. This is how a family was in Cartagena today after their girl, 20 days old, was abducted by an unknown woman in the Pie del Cerro sector and hours later appeared in the municipality of Repelón, in Atlántico.
The Cartagena Metropolitan Police, through the Gaula Group, began the search for the newborn throughout the city and was so diligent that in less than 10 hours they were able to find her whereabouts.
The minor, in the woman’s hands, was in the village of Rotinet and, at the end of this edition, the reasons for which she deprived this mother of her offspring were unknown. It should be noted that citizens also contributed to this story having a happy ending.

In an interview carried out by the authorities with the mother of the minor, he said that a woman, with a thick build, gained her trust by offering her food and help for the maintenance of the 20-day-old girl.
What the woman explained to the authorities was that they met on Saturday and provided them with food, making a new appointment today Sunday, where she would deliver clothes and toys for the infant. This occurred in the vicinity of the Pie del Cerro roundabout, near the Castillo de San Felipe.
The stranger convinced the mother to hand over the minor while they moved to a home where she would receive aid. While the mother got on a motorcycle taxi, the unknown woman took another motorcycle and fled.
