SRAGEN, JOGLOSEMARNEWS.COM – Following the death of Septi Handayani (34) resident of Ngabean RT 17, Bumiaji Village, Gondang District, Sragen, Sunday (8/1/2022) morning, the Gondang Health Center finally held a fogging or smoking.
Dozens of houses in two RTs in the village were sprayed by officers from the Puskesmas. Head of UPTD Gondang Health Center, Dr. Dedi Ari Saputra said: fogging carried out in response to requests from residents in the area.
However, so far there has been no definite diagnosis related to the case of the death of the mother of two children in Bumiaji, which the family and residents said led to the DB.
“Until today, we have not received any feedback from the hospital if it is DB. So far, there have been no positive cases of DB in Gondang. But yesterday because the residents wanted it, we finally did it,” he explained to JOGLOSEMARNEWS.COM , Wednesday (12/1/2022).
Dedi added fogging carried out for two RTs around the radius of the member’s nephew’s residence DPRD Sragen, the Tono.
He appealed to prevent potential dengue fever, residents are expected to be proactive in eradicating mosquito nests (PSN) regularly and simultaneously.
Separately, the Head of Bumiaji Village, Budiyono confirmed that there were 2 RTs in his village that were fogged on Tuesday (11/1/2022). The RTs are RT 18 and RT 19 which are near where Septi lives.
According to him, currently there are still about 3 residents in the neighborhood who are undergoing treatment. Although there is no official statement yet, residents suspect that the three of them, including the deceased, have dengue fever.
