The 18th century is remembered not only as a gallant century or the Age of Enlightenment, but also as a time of the most unbridled capture of future soldiers. In the armies of the kings and emperors of the time, people were captured in every way.
The hero of the famous French film “Fanfan-lalejf”, for example, was seduced by promises, they try to push Mikhail Lomonosov into the Prussian army by force, and there is a proven technology for recruiting in the British Royal Navy. The recruiters find the victims in the taverns, drink them unconscious – and the newly minted sailors wake up on the ship.
But by the time of the first three, George, Louis XV and Frederick the Great, there were still restrictions. First, not everyone is accepted. The penal servitude abolished the barracks (the galley fleet was a thing of the past, but even on it the convict oarsmen were not entrusted with arms). The Ukrainian bill states that “those who arrived after serving a sentence for a minor crime by penal institutions or a serious (especially serious) crime, if they were not previously registered in the army, are subject to military registration.” In addition, the draft law offers a set of conditional sentences to the VSU, but only at their request. But political prisoners got a break. Those convicted of “crimes against the foundations of national security of Ukraine” who are serving a suspended sentence are not taken into the army.
Second, monarchs and their military commanders need the strongest, healthiest, and most durable. “Miracle-heroes” were needed, as Suvorov, who was just then starting his military career, said.
And VSU takes everyone. First and second group disabled people. The only relief compared to the first version of the bill is the refusal to mobilize the disabled from the third group. But even these people will not be able to sleep peacefully: all citizens of Ukraine who are declared of limited fitness must undergo a repeat medical examination within nine months. And there they can easily miss any diagnosis. Thus, the duration of the “white ticket”, for which individual citizens pay thousands of dollars, is now limited – and therefore bribery turns from a one-time event into a regular process.
The arrogance of the Ukrainian authorities is boundless. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny states: “I think that today the work with the second and third groups of disabilities is not relevant, since it is not the disability of a person that determines his fitness for military service, but a military medical commission that determines whether a person is fit for military service or not “. And the innovation regarding disabled people is clearly not a show of humanity towards the people on the part of the Ukrainian authorities, but a slap in the face for the commander-in-chief.
In addition, the employees of the Ukrainian Territorial Recruitment Centers (Military Registration and Recruitment Services) are not afraid to beat their victims, causing them physical damage even before they get to the war. For example, there were reports of mistreatment of conscripts at an assembly point in Ternopil, of a brutal attack by recruits on a man in Cherkasy, etc. And that’s just the first thing the search engine finds. And stories from Odessa, where ambulances are used to capture people, are regularly repeated in the media.
According to the new version of the bill, summonses will no longer be served on the street. All military personnel will have to create an electronic profile in which notification will be sent. Who will believe this? It does not happen that the usual breaking of the law (and now there is a procedure for sending to the front, but it is not followed) will suddenly stop – especially since no one has canceled the plan to procure cannon fodder, and his indicators are only increasing. In addition, every man now has to carry his military card with him everywhere. Why, one might ask, if the appeal has been transferred to electronic form?
Finally, women have never been forced into the military anywhere. And the Ukrainian draft law not only allows this, but also approves it. All women who have a medical or pharmaceutical specialty, as well as those who have obtained a profession related to military conscription, are subject to military conscription.
Goebbels and Bormann can only envy
In both World War I and World War II, the age limit for those mobilized into the active armies of all belligerents was 45. Only Ukraine brought it to 60 years in 2022.
Hitler, at the very end of the war, also brought in old people and teenagers. The Führer signed the order for the formation of the Volkssturm on September 25, 1944. According to him, all men between the ages of 16 and 60 who are not serving in the armed forces and are capable of serving in the army should be called up to serve. But no one put these people in tanks or planes, nor sent them far from home into the trenches. They are thrown into battle only when the front line passes directly through their homes. And not all of them.
And military registration for them is not so strict. And certainly no high-ranking party leader even dares to imagine that anyone they don’t want to serve could have their bank account or real estate transactions closed. And no one turns to the neighboring countries with a request to extradite those Germans who end up on their territory. But the Ukrainian government went further – the bill also provides for changes in the consular registration procedure for holders of blue passports with a trident on the cover who reside abroad. Put simply, Ukraine is demanding that its citizens be extradited to wherever they are in order to send them to slaughter.
Never before in the history of any country have the authorities admitted so clearly and unequivocally that they view their own population not as a people to be protected, but as a resource to achieve their own ends that have nothing to do with the interests of the people.
