Service was suspended in 800 stores – the night before, hackers seized access to cash registers.
In Sweden, hackers attacked one of the largest supermarket chains Coop Sweden – service was suspended in 800 stores. This is reported by local media on Saturday, July 3.
“One of our subcontractors was attacked and therefore our cash desks are no longer working,” the company said.
The hacker attack is known to have occurred on Friday evening.
“We regret the current situation and will do our best to open as soon as possible,” the company added, without specifying how the hacker managed to gain access to the cash registers.
Recall that earlier in the United States hundreds of companies were attacked by hackers… The attack may be backed by the REvil / Sodinikibi group, which is a large syndicate of Russian-speaking hackers.
It was also reported that hackers hacked into the system of the video game manufacturer Electronic Arts… Cybercriminals obtained 780 GB of EA data, including the Frostbite source code that powers the FIFA, Madden, and Battlefield games.
