In support of the brotherly Lebanese people.. an Emirati ship loaded with 2,000 tons of relief aid arrives at the port of Beirut

Today, Friday, the Port of Beirut received an aid ship from the UAE carrying 2,000 tons of emergency relief supplies for the brotherly people of Lebanon, as part of the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” campaign, launched at the beginning than this October.

This vessel comes within the framework of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian assistance to the Lebanese brothers as a result of the current crisis, in implementing the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The President of the State, “may God protect him,” and the follow-up work of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the Office of the President, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Office of the President. Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the International Council for Humanitarian Affairs.

In this regard, His Excellency Sultan Muhammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organizations and a member of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, said: “This new support comes in a context of how willing is the UAE to stand with the brothers. People from Lebanon in these difficult conditions, because the ship was carrying 1,000 tons of supplies.

His Excellency said: “These hard efforts to strengthen the response to the humanitarian crisis show the great interest of the wise leadership in providing for the needs of the Lebanese people, which include the high humanitarian and fraternal values, demanding loyalty, cooperation, cooperation and solidarity. with the Lebanese brothers.”

It is worth noting that in the context of supporting the fraternal Lebanese people due to the current situation, and under the instructions of His Highness the President of the State, “may God protect him,” the UAE sent launched on October 4 the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” campaign to support the Lebanese brothers, and sent 14 planes, some of them in collaboration with the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children’s Fund – UNICEF , the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as well as the campaign “The UAE is with you, Lebanon”, which collected 1,300 tons of relief supplies, with com- part from 24 Emirati donor institutions and thousands of volunteers in a sincere way of the approach The UAE in solidarity and humanitarian cooperation.
