In Sniper Elite 5, reflection from a bone can change the trajectory of the projectile

Series Sniper Elite has been published since 2005 and has since managed to build a solid reputation as a somewhat more intellectual alternative to Wolfensteinovi. Here, too, we are killing Nazi soldiers on a large scale, and here in the past we have been able to confront Hitler himself, we are only doing so out of ambush or from a great distance.

In the newly announced fifth volume, we look at war-torn France in 1944, when the Nazis began to suspect that the end was near. Their last chance to defend is a secret plan codenamed Project Kraken, which of course the protagonist Karl Fairburne must thwart. The authors promise even bigger maps than before and therefore more approaches to solving problems, lots of options to customize the equipment according to the chosen game style or asynchronous multiplayer inspired Deathloopem.

From the list of changes, we were most interested in improved physics and ballistics, so with each shot we will need to take into account gravity, wind or heart rate. For each successful shot, however, we will be rewarded with a brutal slow-motion shot, in which, following the example of Mortal Kombat, we will see how the fired charge penetrates the victim’s vital organs, or is even unpredictably reflected in contact with the bone. In addition, we should see these pleasures in the case of “ordinary” hits from pistols or submachine guns.

Sniper Elite 5 should be released sometime next year on PCs, xboxes and old and new generation playstations.
