Singapore, Aug 29, LETA – RUETERS. In Singapore, 80% of the population has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, Health Minister On Je Je Kun said on Sunday, making Singapore the country with the highest proportion of vaccinated people in the world.
“We have crossed an important line when 80% of our population has received a full two-dose course,” the minister said on Facebook.
The city, with a population of 5.7 million, has the highest proportion of vaccinated people in the world, according to Reuters news agency estimates.
The authorities have previously promised that once the 80% limit is reached, the restrictions imposed by Covid-19 will be further relaxed.
