Of the total amount of exported beverages, 89.2% is exported, mainly to Russia, but 10.8% is sent to other European Union (EU) member states.
Exports of alcoholic beverages from Latvia in the seven months of 2020 decreased by 6.3%. In the seven months of this year, a total of 83.323 million liters of alcoholic beverages were exported, but in the seven months of 2019 – 88.964 million liters.
In the seven months of this year, 10.078 million liters of alcoholic beverages were sent to other EU member states, which is 11.9% less than in the seven months of 2019, when 11.441 million liters were shipped.
In the seven months of this year, 28.724 million liters of alcoholic beverages, excluding beer, were produced in Latvia, and compared to the seven months of 2019, in the seven months of 2020, 8.5% less alcoholic beverages were produced.
