In Senago a park named after Giulia Tramontano and Thiago

(ANSA) – MILAN, 06 OCT – The Municipality of Senago, in the province of Monza, has decided to dedicate a small park with a children’s play area to Giulia Tramontano and her son Thiago who she was carrying when she was stabbed to death by her partner Alessandro Impagnatiello on May 27 last year in the apartment they shared in the Brianza town. “A symbol of love that rejects gender violence” was defined by Giulia’s family, who could not be present but sent a message. “This little park – read Sara, a friend of Giulia’s – will be the symbol of a woman loved by everyone even without knowing her, it will be the symbol of the closeness, solidarity and affection of an entire community and of the love that refuses gender violence, of children who need their mothers and their lives”. The family wanted to thank the administration, the inhabitants, the police because “you have always been close to us in our immense pain and have not forgotten our beloved Giulia and Thiago”. The park with inclusive benches and games was designed to have a memory “that also looks to the future” explained the mayor Magda Beretta, who thanked the prefecture for the exemption on the timing of the naming and announced that the shelter home in construction in Senago will be dedicated to Giulia and Thiago.
