Nursultan Nazarbayev has always been everything for Kazakhstan. The first president of independent Kazakhstan ruled since 1989, received the title of father of the nation, but as soon as large-scale unrest among the people began, the ubiquitous 81-year-old father disappeared. Country named after Nazarbayev
It was under Nazarbayev that Kazakhstan became what it is now. A raw country with vast territory and ambitions, but with a small population and even less influence in the world and the region. Under Nazarbayev, modest sprouts of dissent and civil society were rolled into asphalt in Kazakhstan, and property stratification reached grandiose proportions.
Almost 20 million people live in Kazakhstan. Half of the country’s wealth is concentrated in the hands of less than 200 Kazakhs. Millionaires in the country are about 0.2% of the population, and they prefer to live abroad. Forget about Elbasy?
Since the beginning of the political crisis in Kazakhstan, neither the official authorities nor the state TV channels and media have mentioned the name of Nursultan Nazarbayev and his family members. Not to mention the fact that they do not report where they are and what happened to them. Nazarbayev himself does not comment on anything either.
According to various sources, the first president and his daughters left Kazakhstan with their families. Russian political scientist Arkady Dubnov said that Nazarbayev is in China. According to another version, Nazarbayev left for Kyrgyzstan.
Russian portal The insider informsthat Nursultan Nazarbayev could fly to Dubai. The E35L board of the Embraer Legacy 650 aircraft, which took off from the capital of Kazakhstan on January 5 at about 21:00 Kyiv time, landed in Dubai at Al Maktoum International Airport. Flight data has been hidden. The aircraft may belong to the National Guard of Kazakhstan. Earlier it was reported that the agency received such an aircraft in January 2020. According to ex-adviser to Nazarbayev Ermukhamed Ertysbayev, the former president of Kazakhstan does not appear in public due to illness. Ertysbayev added that if Nazarbayev’s health allowed, he would have made a political appeal to the people.
