Austrian skier Katharina Truppe has had a positive coronavirus test and will not be able to start in the night night slalom of the World Cup in Schladming.

Truppe, who is in 17th place in the overall classification of the World Championships and tenth in the evaluation of the discipline, was looking forward to Schladming. “It will be great to be able to introduce yourself on the men’s piste,” she wrote on Sunday after seventh place in the slalom in Kranjska Gora, but the next day Covid-19 thwarted her plans.

The coronavirus had previously served on the Austrian team. Franziska Gritsch and Magdalena Egger had symptoms of the disease and missed the slalom in Zagreb, Stephanie Brunner did not start last weekend in Kranjska Gora.
