Jeddah: Kovid has extended for another 20 days various sanctions imposed on Saudi Arabia to avoid the threat of a second wave. The 10-day curfew announced by the Home Ministry on February 3 has been extended from 10 pm tonight to the next 20 days. Do not dine in restaurants in the country. Only parcels will be allowed. No crowds. The ban on public events will continue. Cinema halls and entertainment venues will continue to be closed.
The restrictions are as follows:
One: The maximum number of social events should not exceed 20.
Two: Stop all entertainment
Three: Close cinemas, indoor entertainment venues, free indoor games venues or restaurants, entertainment centers in shopping centers, and sports (like gym) centers.
Four: Stop serving food inside restaurants and cafes. Limit service delivery to parlors.
For events, meetings, gatherings, parties and burial ceremonies, the precautionary measures mentioned in the earlier order must be followed. The health precautions issued by the Home Ministry will also be subject to constant evaluation by the authorities.
This is a continuation of the statement issued on February 3 last year to stop the spread of Kovid. The decision will continue for another 20 days. The decision will take effect from 10pm on February 14th. The decision is part of a recommendation submitted by the relevant departments to assess the Kovid situation.
