RIYADH: The Interior Ministry continues investigations to arrest those who violate Saudi Arabia’s labor, residence and border security laws. In one week, more than 16,000 violators from different parts of the country were arrested.A total of 16,583 people were arrested in the raids between October 27 and November 2, including 10,007 violators of Iqama law, 4,404 violators and 2,172 violators of labor law. During this period, 321 people were arrested who attempted to enter the country through the borders.

Among them, 43% are Yemeni, 51% are Ethiopian and 6% are from other countries. 69 people who attempted to leave the country illegally across borders were captured by security departments within a week, which also arrested 23 people providing accommodation, travel and work services to Iqama violators, labor laws and intruders.

Legal actions are pending against 53,366 people who are currently in deportation centers. Of these, 3,892 are women and 49,474 are men. Collaborate with embassies and consulates to organize temporary travel documents for 43,506 people without passports before repatriation.

Steps are being taken to book return tickets for 2,148 people. The Interior Ministry also said 9,203 lawbreakers were expelled from Saudi Arabia within a week.
