Not far from the “Aquatic Phoenix”, an emblematic sculpture of the Sarcellois district of Flanades, a hundred pigeons squat the Place de France, barely disturbed by a child who tries to chase them away. The excrement, which lines the bitumen, attest to their repeated presence on the slab. Which does not seem to bother the passers-by questioned. “Apart from maybe the dirt they put everywhere, I don’t mind. They are part of the decor,” remarks Richard, in the middle of a discussion with a friend.
