Located at the exit of the town, in the direction of Nantes, the industrial and commercial activities zone of Beau-Soleil, in Sainte-Pazanne (Loire-Atlantique), continues to attract entrepreneurs, and new professional premises are regularly set up.
Also, the service and commercial offer continues to grow to become diversified.
Hairdressing, car garages, electricity, food, clothing, flowers and even optics are all services and items offered to the population.
The area, easy to access and visible from the main road, attracts more and more people. The “little ones” are a flower shop and decorative items and an optician.
These types of shops, already present in the village, enrich the offer. In front of this area, the project of a Leclerc is still in progress.
Super U’s remedies
As a reminder, E. Leclerc plans to set up in Sainte-Pazanne a 6,800 m hypermarket2 and his drive, a cultural space of 500 m2, to which will be added an average surface specialized in the equipment of the house and the leisures of 1,200 m2 and two others of 700 m2, each rather oriented “in the equipment of the person, culture and well-being”.
This project, a real sea serpent, could find its epilogue in 2021.
The neighboring Super U which does not want a competitor to settle a few hundred meters away has already exhausted two remedies. The companies AG-Zinate, Les Charmes and Sodipaz, for Super U, requested the cancellation of the building permit granted by the municipality of Sainte-Pazanne, to the company Pazadis, which carries the project of the future E. Leclerc shopping center. In early 2020, the Council of State had not given a favorable response.
“I no longer dare to announce a date”
A final dispute prevents the start of work. Super U challenges the decision of the National Commission for Commercial Development (CNAC), which would have pronounced on an earlier building permit project (that of September 2013, and not the new one dating from 2017), and issued a commercial operating permit deemed to be invalid. The Council of State referred the processing of the CNAC decision to the Nantes administrative appeal court, which has not yet decided.
“Normally, this is the last resort,” explains Bernard Morilleau, the mayor of Sainte-Pazanne. I hope for news at the beginning of 2021 but I no longer dare to announce a date, I do not control anything and no deadline has been set. We wait. “
