In Russia, it began checks to see if the oil refinery “Lukoil” in Bulgaria is supplied fuels to Ukraine. The inspection was ordered by the Speaker of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, to the Committee on Security and Countering Corruption in the State Duma, as well as to the Committee on Energy.
The investigation will proceed according to the information published in the Western press from the investigation of Die Welt and Politiko for arms and fuel exports from Bulgaria already in the first months of the war.
The first to report the order Konstantin Zatulinfirst deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, said this on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
“I drew attention to today’s publication of Sergey Artemov in a newspaper”Moscow’s comsomolets“, in which it is claimed that the refinery of the Russian company “Lukoil” in Burgas processed Russian oil and supplied fuel and petroleum products to VSU through a chain of intermediaries. … By order of the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the relevant committees of The State Duma on security and the fight against corruption and on energy must to consider the matter, send inquiries and report on the results of its consideration“, wrote the MP.
According to “Moscow Komsomolets”, citing its sources, the fuel for the Ukrainian tanks has been delivered through a chain of intermediary companies from the Bulgarian Lukoil refinery. “The Russian oil that the company exported to its refinery in Burgas covered up to 40% of the needs of the Ukrainian troops advancing towards Izyum and Kherson,” the publication recalls.
It is also recalled that in the near future they are planned deliveries of Russian oil by sea to Romaniawhere Lukoil operates another refinery.
