Over the past day, 188 people with coronavirus have died in Russia. The day before, they died 176. The total number of deaths reached 8969.
In total, 6852 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered per day. The total number of patients reached 627,646. During the day, 9,200 people recovered, a total of 393,352.
Most deaths per day recorded:
- in St. Petersburg – 57 people (total 1065),
- in Moscow – 20 (3714),
- in the Moscow region – 12 (858),
- in the Arkhangelsk region – 11 (50),
- in the Rostov region – 10 (115).
Russia ranks third among all countries in the number of cases, and in the number of deaths – 13th. Mortality data has been repeatedly criticized in the Western media. However, the World Health Organization said that it has no complaints against Russia on mortality statistics. The Kremlin does not consider Russian statistics on deaths unusual.
