The price of the fuel has reached an unprecedented high. The cost of the gas was already growing for months, but the war in Ukraine took it to the stars. Strikes, protests and government concerns are not enough to stop the rise, which threatens to continue inexorably. But there is still a way to save. How? In addition to advice on how to drive and manage the car, there are apps that indicate the cheapest distributors day by day and how to get there.
The most downloaded app
The most downloaded is called “Petrol Prices” and can be installed on both iOS and Android systems. Easy to use, once you have set the position and the type of fuel, it provides you with the list (updated in real time) of the distributors from the cheapest to the most expensive. Today, 11 March, the Eni petrol station in via Molfetta in Rome has petrol at 1,879 euros per liter. And you can even find two distributors – again from the Eni company – where diesel costs 1.2 euros per liter. One is located in viale Jonio, the other is in via Tor San Giovanni. In Milan, Esso in via Novara yesterday had the Diesel priced at 1.279 euros, while the cheapest petrol cost 2.004 euros and was located in via Lorenteggio.
The other apps to save on fuel
The second app in order of download is called “iCarburante”. Once downloaded and logged in, you must allow to detect the position (a practice that must be done with all apps). The use is very intuitive, but in order to use all the services a one-time payment of 1.99 is required. Then there is “Petrol”, which asks for registration – not mandatory – to access the service. You can choose the preferred type of fuel and the range of kilometers beyond which no distributors should be reported. Also noteworthy are “Gaspal”, “Save on prices” and “il pieno”.
