In Riga and Daugavpils, the symphony orchestra will perform music from the movie “The Lord of the Rings”

At the beginning of next month, on February 7 at the Daugavpils Palace of Culture and on February 8 on the stage of Arena Riga, the Ukrainian symphony orchestra “Lords Of The Sound” will perform music from the popular movie “The Lord of the Rings”.

The English writer John Ronald Reuel Tolkien became famous thanks to the series of novels “The Lord of the Rings” – he devoted his entire life to the story of his fictional Middle Earth. With this work, Tolkien inspired composer Howard Shore to create a musical score for the famous film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, which received critical acclaim and has millions of fans around the world.

At the big concerts in Daugavpils and Riga, the artists will present a show program where they will create the atmosphere of the world of hobbits and elves with the help of a symphony orchestra, choir and soloists.

“It’s got the terrible sounds of Mordor as well as the fun hobbit tunes. This concert will differ from classical orchestra performances in that it will offer not only instrumental and vocal performance, but also visual performance – video projection and light show,” the concert organizers inform.

The Lords Of The Sound Orchestra is a long-time fan of epic themes and has regularly performed in Europe with such concerts, including works by famous film score composers such as Hans Zimmer, Ramin Djavadi, Klaus Badelt, James Howard and others.
