The State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was informed that at 2.43 it had received a call to Stacijas Street, where a public building was burning.

The building burns a full area of ​​3,500 square meters. Fire control work continues. Photos published by the service show that the building is burning with an open flame.

The walls of the building collapsed in several places, the rescuers pointed out.

Residents evacuated from the adjacent apartment building. The traffic at the scene was closed, SFRS informed.

Depo DIY “representatives told LETA that no people were injured in the fire in the store located at 31 Stacijas Street.

Several fire brigades are working at the scene, in the presence of “Depo DIY” representatives.

The company states that it has an internal working group that participates in the prevention of the consequences of the fire. The company cooperates with the responsible state institutions to find out the cause of the fire.

The company “Depo DIY” was registered in 2004 and its share capital is 7,501,006 euros. In 2019, the turnover of the Depo DIY Group was 321.149 million euros, but the profit was 11.298 million euros.

The sole owner of “Depo DIY” is SIA “DMT Pluss”. According to Firmas.lv, the largest owner of DMT Pluss is Andris Kozlovskis (25.19%), at the same time 19.94% of shares belong to Vera Marinkēvičs, Artis Kozlovskis and Vineta Atvara, while 15% belongs to SIA Ausekļa ielas nams “, which belongs to Māra Lielcepure-Gaveika (48.34%), SIA” Paradox Holdings “(48.34%) and SIA” EQT Baltic “(3.32%).
