In Rezé, the left in fusion before the second round of municipal

Nantes, Saint ‐ Herblain, Rezé. The three largest cities of the metropolis (respectively 310,000, 46,000 and 41,000 inhabitants). Three municipalities owned by the PS for more than thirty years (and even more than 60 years for Rezé). But three very different political situations on the brink of the second round of municipal elections. In the first, everything looks fine: with her alliance with EELV, Johanna Rolland is almost sure to be re-elected. In the second, the outgoing mayor, Bertrand Affilé, also spends quiet nights. After obtaining 43.55% of the vote in the first round, he even allowed himself to refuse the alliance with the environmentalists. In Rezé, on the other hand, June 28 causes a few knots in the brain.

As Mediacités had widely described, the political landscape is particularly confused and the outgoing mayor, Gérard Allard, widely contested. In a year and a half, his municipal team recorded no less than ten defections and the first round did not make the situation less uncertain. South of Nantes, no premium for the outgoing: the PS Vice-President of Nantes Métropole recorded a particularly severe setback by coming second, very far behind the dissident list on the left, Rezé citizen (33.71% of the votes against 20 , 18%), which paid for the luxury of arriving at the top in all districts.
