In Response to Ukraine’s Attack, Russia Vows to Attack Kiev

MOSCOW – Ministry of Defense Russia promised to attack Kiev with more attacks in response to attacks Ukraine against targets in Russia. The ministry also said it had struck Ukrainian military targets on the outskirts of Kiev overnight with cruise missiles.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces had also taken full control of the Ilyich Steel Plant in the besieged port city of Mariupol, which had been under siege by Russian forces for weeks.

In a statement, Russia’s Defense Ministry also said that overnight missile strikes in Kiev had hit the ‘Vizar’ factory on the edge of the Ukrainian capital which it said manufactures and repairs missiles, including anti-ship missiles.

The ministry also promised more attacks in Kiev.

“The number and scale of missile strikes against targets in Kiev will increase in response to any terrorist attacks or acts of sabotage on Russian territory carried out by the Kiev nationalist regime,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement. ReutersFriday (15/4/2022).

It said its forces had shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter it said had struck the village of Klimovo in the Bryansk region on April 14 and also shot down a Ukrainian Sukhoi-27 jet.
