WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – The Army has suspended the three-star general’s contract and placed him under investigation.
This is after he posted a tweet that seemed to mock the first lady Jill Biden.
Reported USA TodayGary Volesky, former top spokesman for the Army, responded to a tweet from Jill saying that women’s rights had been stolen in the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roev Wade.

“For nearly 50 years, women have had the right to make their own decisions about our bodies. Today, that right was stolen from us,” tweeted Jill Biden.
“It’s good to see you finally know what a woman is,” said Volesky.
Volesky, who was in charge of the Army’s 101st Air Division, had signed on after his retirement to advise active duty officers as a senior mentor.
Volesky’s response to Jill Biden was a breach of decency for a retired military officer, wrote USA Today.

This is an unusual move in partisan politics by a Pentagon official, especially since the department usually avoids such things.
Volesky also responded to a tweet from Republican Liz Cheney, when she announced that she would be on the January 6 election committee.
Cheney noted that “their call for a constitution must be above partisan politics.”
