In response, Iran imposes new sanctions against the European Union and Britain

After the European Union imposed new sanctions on Iran, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the imposition of sanctions against 36 entities and individuals affiliated with it and Britain, on charges of supporting terrorism inside Iran.

Today, Tuesday, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Tehran imposed sanctions against 36 entities and individuals affiliated with the European Union and Britain, on charges of supporting terrorism inside Iran.

According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s statement, the sanctions prevent these personalities from entering Iranian territory and freeze their financial accounts, adding that the sanctions affected the Air Operations Command of the German army and German and French companies for military industries.

The statement added that sanctions were imposed on the European “For Israel” coalition, and occupation security centers in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, noting that sanctions were also imposed on the French ministers of state for industry affairs and equality between men and women.

The sanctions included German, French and Belgian members of the European Parliament, as well as 7 British personalities, including military leaders, according to the statement.

This comes after the European Union imposed, yesterday, Monday, new sanctions on Iran, including 32 additional people and two entities: the Law Enforcement Forces Cooperation Institution and the Institute of Police Sciences and Social Studies.

A statement issued by Brussels said that among the people who have been sanctioned are the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Minister of Education, the Deputy Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Ali Fadavi and his spokesman Ramadan Sharif, and the co-founders of the “Raven” Academy for cybersecurity.، members of the Iranian parliament, members of the police and judiciary in various parts of the country, and prison guards and managers.

The number of those imposed sanctions by the European Union reached 196 individuals and 33 entities. These include an asset freeze, a travel ban to the European Union, and a ban on making funds or economic resources available to those on the list.

It is noteworthy that, last month, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs imposed sanctions on 4 entities and 30 officials in the European Union and Britain, because of their support for terrorism and violence in Iran, in the wake of Western countries’ support for the recent riots in Iran.

The United States of America, the European Union and Britain announced the imposition of new sanctions against Iran, targeting official officials, in addition to members of an institution affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
