“Many companies ignore this recovery plan. In the district of Dinan, we have not drawn enough from the envelope, which represents approximately 26 M € in 2020, for the department of Côtes-d’Armor, on three aspects: ecology, competitiveness and solidarity ”, encourages Bernard Musset, sub-prefect of Dinan, visiting the SDEM group, in the Dinan-Quévert area, this Friday, January 15.
“Paralyzed business leaders”
Locally, in 2020, only the Coraxes company, in Plancoët, had the confirmation of receiving substantial aid of € 550,000. So why so few beneficiaries? “In this complicated period, some business leaders are paralyzed in the face of the unknown and do not dare to embark on investments, and therefore do not ask for help. In addition, the local economic fabric is made up of many small-staffed VSEs, who do not necessarily have the necessary engineering to put together application files. There is support, ”explains the sub-prefect.
“Drowned in information”
At the head of a team of 19 employees, Laurent Vandamme has been at the helm of the SDEM group since March 2020, and applied for a grant in November. “We are drowned in information, but the sub-prefecture sends a weekly email, to see more clearly. I asked for help for an investment of € 18,000, with a view to acquiring new computer-aided design and manufacturing software ”, indicates the company manager, specializing in machining, metalwork and boiler making. , which projects to achieve € 1.80 million in turnover, at the end of its first year of recovery, a loss of 20% compared to the forecast.
Response time of… eight months!
“You can be cautious, as a business leader, but these grants can be a decision aid. You have to complete formalities via the Service and payment agency website, it’s a bit long… ”, explains Laurent Vandamme, who seized the opportunity and can claim aid covering 40% of his investment, made a few weeks ago. Downside: “We do not yet know if we will benefit from the subsidy. The response time is eight months, maximum, ”notes the manager. A delay which can, indeed, make the hard-pressed treasuries hesitate.
