In Riga, Purvciems, a man with an ax followed an unknown 11-year-old girl, threatening to kill her, the program “Bez Tabu” reported.
The 11-year-old girl went home from an area store to a block of flats in Dzohara Dudajeva gatve, Purvciems, around 9:00 a.m. in July, when she was intimidated by a man who was on the street with an ax in her hand, says a neighbor of the frightened girl’s family.
“The girl went to the underground parking lot of the house, because she had to go to the car to pick up some things, her mother had given her a gate. As she approached the house, she noticed that a man was following her. He was hissing, aggressive, had an ax in his hand. “When he saw the man coming in her direction, the 11 – year – old girl started to open the gate in time. As soon as the gate opened a little, she ran to the bottom and got stuck in the underground parking lot,” says neighbor Sergey.
The alarming events have been captured by surveillance cameras located in the underground parking lot of the house. They show that a frightened child runs into an underground car park. The girl is followed by a man with an ax in his hand. In the immortal situation, it can be seen that the girl in fear runs to the far end of the parking lot, where she squats behind the car and watches through the window, an inadequate man who enters the parking lot, waves an ax closer to the gate and walks back to the gate, looking where the girl hid.
“The girl looked through the car glass, watched what he was going to do. She was scared! He was holding an ax here, shouting in Russian: ‘I will find you, I will kill you!’ So he walked here and shouted. At one point the gate started to close, he put an ax under them to open it. Then they started to close again. He pressed a button on the wall, opened the gate and left. The gate distracted him. approaching the gate from the outside, the gate was working and the girl could be stuck in the parking lot, but it could be that the gate is not working, in which case terrible things could happen.When he left the parking lot, a resident who was coming home at the time saw that the man came out with an ax over his shoulder and went in the direction of another house, “says a neighbor.

Surveillance camera records show that the girl looked at the gate for a long time after the man had left, fearing where the unknown man had stayed.
When she returned home, the girl told her parents about the experience, who called the law enforcement officers.
The State Police informs at the Riga Teika station that the man immortalized in the surveillance camera records has been identified, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 132 of the Criminal Law “Threat of murder and grievous bodily harm”, which provides for temporary imprisonment of up to three months or forced labor or a fine. Law enforcement officers also report that the man has been released after his arrest, but he has to meet a number of conditions while awaiting trial.
