In Pont, Pertusio and Forno everything is still on the doctor’s PC: “The issue has been resolved by Monday”

CANAVESE BRIDGE

The problem persists, patients from Pont Canavese, Forno Canavese and Pertusio are unable to obtain prescriptions for drugs and days of insurance due to a problem accessing their GP, but a resolution is expected on Monday.

The patients involved are the approximately 1,800 patients treated by Dr. Giulia Gullotti, who has been serving in the three municipalities for two weeks as the new general practitioner replacing Dr. Paolo Boero, who died in August. Since he took office, his credentials to access the prescription management system were completely blocked, but the problem is finally on the way to being resolved. «I have asked for help since taking charge, two weeks ago, due to the difficulties encountered in the clinics – explains the doctor -. There was, in fact, a question of invalid credentials to be able to issue prescriptions and health insurance. I contacted multiple bodies, including the Csi Piemonte and the ASL/To4 representatives, to be able to unblock this situation. For me and my patients this was a serious disservice. I also contacted a technician, who in turn suggested that I get new credentials to be able to work. I admit that it was not easy to take service in these three countries knowing that the patients were tired of this protracted situation, but finally on Monday everything should be back to normal.”

The doctor also asked for the collaboration of the mayors, promptly finding that of Vincenzo Armenio, mayor of Forno, who had guaranteed the presence of an IT technician to try to find a solution. Even the Municipality of Pont Canavese, where the clinic is provided free of charge and is located in a wing of the town hall, was contacted about this matter: «We have received numerous calls from citizens about the difficulties encountered in obtaining health insurance and prescriptions for the drugs and the doctor asked us for help to try to resolve the issue”, explained Mayor Coppo.

The health company, already in recent days, then again yesterday, had sent all the information needed to resolve the doctor’s problems, even if she was not responsible for the disservice that occurred in the three Canavese municipalities.

Yesterday, Thursday 17th, Dr. Gullotti managed to have working credentials to access the management system dedicated to prescriptions: «Finally the situation was resolved thanks to the sending of correct credentials. The data migration between the system used by Dr. Boero and mine is still missing, but a technician that I have personally appointed will resolve the issue by the weekend. If everything isn’t in order today, it will be on Monday.”
