The Polish authorities did not recommend the Russian ambassador to lay flowers on May 9 in Warsaw.

AT Poland called “understandable” the reaction of Ukrainians and Ukrainian women to the Russian ambassador to Poland, Sergei Andreev, who tried to lay a wreath at the monument to Soviet soldiers.

This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Poland Mariusz Kaminsky

“The meeting of opponents of Russian aggression against Ukraine, where the crime of genocide is committed every day, was legal. The emotions of the protesters – Ukrainian women, whose husbands fight courageously to defend their homeland, are understandable,” Kaminsky wrote on his Twitter.

He noted that the Polish authorities did not recommend the Russian ambassador to lay flowers on May 9 in Warsaw.

“The police allowed the ambassador to safely leave the scene,” Kaminsky said.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State Assets of Poland Jacek Sasin during a press conference in Warsaw, however, noted that an attack on a representative of another state, even if it is the ambassador of a country that commits aggression against its neighbors, is not a normal step.

Recall that on Monday, May 9, in Warsaw, Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev doused red paint. Later it became known that it was not paint, but artificial blood.

According to Russian media, people did not allow the ambassador to lay a wreath at the memorial, he left the cemetery, accompanied by police.
