IN PICTURES: The Côte-d’Or Departmental Council honored the JDA Dijon Basket and its talents

The leaders, staff members and players of the professional team were received at the Departmental Council on Thursday evening. Back in photos.

The president of the Department François Sauvadet wanted to receive them “at the very heart of the Departmental Council of the Côte-d’Or”, in other words in the meeting room in Dijon. And what does it matter to him if the winners of the Leaders Cup were received the day before by the city of Dijon, “because Dijon is in Côte-d’Or”.

This reception was an opportunity for François Sauvadet to salute the work and the family of the JDA Dijon Basket, which is also, through the image it conveys and which it gave in mid-February at Disneyland Paris, “The family from all over Côte-d’Or, the family from France itself”.
As for the course crowned by a trophy, the president of the Department described it as “moving, powerful, a team adventure” concentrating great talents.

The floor was then left to the craftsmen of this long-term work, confirmed by the words of President Thierry Degorce, General Manager Nathalie Voisin, General Manager Jean-Louis Borg, Coach Laurent Legname and Captain Axel Julien.
Perseverance and collective spirit emerged from speaking out. Applause punctuated each intervention.

Started with the broadcast of a mini-film retracing the exploits of Dijon basketball players, the ceremony ended with the awarding of medals bearing the Vercingetorix image, to all those involved in this success. They were given in particular by members of the Departmental Youth Council, invited for the purpose also of showing them what high-level sport is.
“It is doing it together and it is the one that gives us emotions. We will continue to support it because it is inseparable from sport for all ”, insisted François Sauvadet, having also received gifts from the club. Gifts worthy of strong memories.
