The photos taken behind the scenes at Katrien’s exit show how the actress was surprised by her colleagues with whom she had been on the set in Leuven for the past four years. After her very last scene, which was recorded in the set of Bowie, about 50 colleagues came to wave the actress off to loud applause and surprise with flowers. The crew from both front and behind the scenes had come to the studios especially for this. Katrien was not only showered with hugs, but also with presents. Since her character worked at the Bowie company, the actress had mainly contact with Christophe Haddad (Bob) and Mathias Vergels (Lowie) on set in the past year. From the first she received a homemade drawing, from the second a catchy farewell letter. Marleen Merckx (Simonne) treated Katrien to a homemade cake. An Vanderstighelen (Sam) gave a farewell speech. It was so touching that Katrien was very moved and afterwards fell into her arms crying.

The backstage images also clearly show a funny trick that is often used as a handy tool for difficult TV recordings. At her death scene, Katrien as Tania had to lie on the cold, hard ground for a while. In reality, she was quite comfortable on a soft mattress, which was kept just out of the picture thanks to the right camera work.
