In “Philoxenia” the city of Ioannina

The “present” at the 38th International Tourism Exhibition “Philoxenia”, held in Thessaloniki, was again this year given by the municipality of Ioannito.

During its work, the municipal officials presented the comparative advantages of the tourism product of the city of Ioannina, with an emphasis on highlighting the area as an attractive 365-day destination, for every preference and age. As a Metropolitan recreation center, with a variety of possibilities for alternative activities and experiences (cultural, sports, entertainment and contact with nature).

Agents active in the domestic and international tourism market had the opportunity to obtain a complete picture of the city of legends and youthful freshness. For the sights, the multicultural identity, the gastronomy, the current physiognomy and its modern infrastructures.

Also, the municipality’s stand was visited by, among others, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Elena Rapti, the president of the Hellenic Tourism Organization Angela Gerekou and the deputy regional governor of Thessaloniki Voula Patoulidou.

The municipality, which was hosted at the Epirus Region stand, was represented at the exhibition by the head of the Tourism Department Eleni Basogiannis and Emilios Neos.
