In one place in the country, house prices have fallen

– House prices continued to rise sharply in February. Much of the price increase can be explained by the weak supply side, says CEO Henning Lauridsen of Eiendom Norge.

Decline in house prices in Bergen

In Bergen, house prices fell by 0.5 per cent. In all the other big cities, prices have risen, so here Bergen stands out. Adjusted for seasonal variation, there is still talk of an increase of 0.5 per cent, but this is a weaker development than in Oslo and Trondheim. When we look at the development over the last twelve months, everyone has hated rising house prices. In total, Oslo has had the lowest nominal price increase of 3.3 per cent.

Sold fewer homes

So far this year, 779 homes have been sold on the market. That is 21.3 per cent less than at the same time last year. Slightly fewer homes are also put out. That is part of the explanation for the rising prices.
