In no way involved in explosions at Nord Stream – Washington

The United States is neither directly nor indirectly involved in the sabotage of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. This statement was made today, February 19, on the Fox News channel by the coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council (NSC) of the White House, John Kirby.

“The United States has nothing to do with this,” – Kirby said in response to the corresponding question of the presenter and added that in the article published by the American journalist Seymour Hersh, “there is not a grain of truth,” cites excerpts from TASS.

On February 8, Hersh, who specializes in investigative journalism, in his article, citing a source, said that explosive devices under Russian gas pipelines were planted in June 2022 under the cover of the Baltops exercise by US Navy divers with the support of Norwegian specialists. According to Hersh, the decision to conduct the operation was made by US President Joe Biden after nine months of discussions with administration officials involved in national security issues.

White House National Security Council Press Officer Adrienne Watson in response to a request, TASS also called the version presented by Hersh “a complete lie and a complete fiction.”
