In court, the woman pleaded guilty to a crime under the article on cruelty to animals.

In the Nikolaev region, a woman hanged a dog, but she escaped responsibility for cruel treatment of an animal, because the kindergarten team in which she works as a laundress took her on bail. On Friday, May 7, reports Crime.NO with reference to the determination of the Voznesensky City District Court.

“On April 3, a neighbor complained to a woman that her dog named Hostess threw herself and barked at her young niece. After that, the accused threw a rope with a noose around the animal’s neck and tied it to a tree. The animal died in torment from strangulation,” the newspaper writes.

In court, the woman pleaded guilty to a crime under the article on cruelty to animals (part 1 of article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

But at the same time, the court received a petition from the staff of the Novogrigorievsky kindergarten about the desire to take the woman on bail.

As a result, the court bailed the woman and released her from criminal liability on the condition that she would not shy away from educational measures and violate public order.
